Biography

Kim Suhyun is a young Korean artist based in Singapore. She is currently studying Fine Arts(diploma) in LASALLE College of the Arts doing her final year till june next year. Her painting has been showcased in LASALLE Open house in 2019. She has also participated in National HMPS-UNAS visual arts drawing competition 2016 and My Stamp Story Art 2015 organised by Singapore Philatelic and has won consolation and gold

Artist statement

I find joy in exploring different techniques and skill sets to express and share personal experiences that could relate with people in some ways. I am interested in the relationship between space and figures in different perspectives and depth due to the often shift of my environment. I am currently interested in deconstructing and reconstructing of objects and their meaning/purpose around me. Hopefully the audience can reflect on their habitual perception of things around them and further on.
